Terms & Conditions

  1. Booking and Payment: All bookings made through Nordic Waterways AS are binding. We offer secure payment through our authorized payment service providers. By completing a booking, you agree to the terms and conditions listed below.

  2. Right of Withdrawal: According to the Norwegian Cancellation Act (Angrerettsloven § 22 m), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services with a fixed date or period.

  3. Cancellation and Changes: Cancellations or changes to your booking must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure to qualify for a refund. In the event of extreme weather or technical issues where Nordic Waterways AS must cancel the tour, a 100% refund will be issued. We reserve the right to adjust routes due to weather conditions to ensure safety; such adjustments do not qualify for a refund.

  4. Delivery of Service: Immediately after a successful transaction, you will receive a booking confirmation and a digital ticket via email. This email serves as your proof of purchase and delivery of the service.

  5. Arrival and Meeting Point: Passengers must arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before departure for a mandatory safety briefing. The meeting point is located between Christiansholm Fortress and Strandpromenaden 14, right by the Camilla Collett statue.

  6. Age Limit and Guardianship: The minimum age for passengers is 3 years. Parents or guardians are responsible for children under the age of 16.

  7. Safety and Equipment: Wearing a life jacket is mandatory for all passengers. Passengers must remain seated when the boat is traveling above 3 knots (approx. 5 km/h).

  8. Alcohol Policy: For scheduled public tours with multiple parties, bringing or consuming alcohol onboard is prohibited. For private boat charters (full boat bookings), moderate and responsible consumption of brought-along alcohol is permitted.

  9. Conduct and Liability: Misconduct or intoxication will lead to removal from the tour or denial of boarding without a refund. Passengers are liable for any damages caused to the boat or equipment due to negligence.

  10. Toilet Facilities: Please note that there is no toilet onboard. Public toilets are available approximately 50 meters from the docking area.
